From Adversity to Purpose-Driven Leadership

For Tawon Green, empowering young people is more than a profession — it is personal. The founder of Dreams Training Facility has transformed his own life experiences into a mission centered on leadership development, mentorship, and mental wellness for underserved youth throughout Southern California also overcoming adversity.

Raised in a single-parent household surrounded by violence, uncertainty, and limited resources, Green understands firsthand the environments many young people are trying to overcome. He recalls difficult moments growing up, including the loss of his best friend at a young age, experiences that shaped his understanding of how critical guidance and positive influence can be during adolescence.

“Football gave me structure. Mentorship gave me direction. And purpose gave me vision,” Tawon Green.

Today, Green is using those lessons to help students discover confidence, purpose, and leadership through programs designed to reach youth before negative influences do.

According to San Bernardino County indicators, thousands of students across the region face challenges connected to poverty, housing insecurity, bullying, mental health struggles, and limited access to mentorship opportunities. More than 28,000 students were identified as homeless or housing insecure during the 2023–2024 school year alone, while child poverty rates continue to impact families throughout the county. Programs like Dreams Training Facility are designed to intervene early by creating leadership-focused environments that help students build confidence, emotional resilience, and long-term vision for their future.

Building Dreams Through Leadership and Mental Wellness

As CEO and founder of Dreams Training Facility, Green leads programs rooted in his D.R.E.A.M.S. framework: Determination, Resiliency, Education, Attitude, Mental Health, and Success.

Through workshops, Dream Sessions, mentorship circles, spoken word activities, and leadership development experiences, Green works with middle school, high school, and college-aged youth across multiple school districts and organizations. His approach combines motivational speaking, creative expression, and practical life skills to help students build identity, discipline, and long-term vision.

One recent success story reflects the type of transformation Green hopes to inspire through every program. During a recent Dream Session workshop, a student intentionally sought out Green after hearing the message, “Let fear sit in the passenger seat while courage takes the wheel.” According to Green, moments like that demonstrate how quickly students begin to connect leadership with confidence and action once they experience the programming.

“The A in D.R.E.A.M.S. stands for attitude,” Green explained. “That’s where leadership starts. Be someone people enjoy being around. Be coachable. Be interactive. Leadership begins with how you show up.”

Creating Change That Lasts Generations

Dreams Training Facility is on a mission to impact underserved youth both across the United States and internationally by providing leadership development, mentorship, mental wellness support, and life-changing opportunities that help students believe in themselves and their future.

From school campuses in Southern California to future programming initiatives in places like the Philippines, the vision is bigger than one city or one district. The goal is to create safe spaces where young people can grow in confidence, discover purpose, and develop the leadership skills needed to break cycles and build lasting change within their communities.

But this work cannot happen alone.

Community leaders, educators, school districts, sponsors, nonprofit organizations, athletes, and business professionals are invited to partner with Dreams Training Facility to help expand programming into more underserved communities worldwide.

Whether through sponsorships, school partnerships, mentorship opportunities, speaking engagements, donations, or collaborative programming, your support helps provide youth with access to guidance, exposure, leadership training, and mental wellness resources that can transform lives for generations.

Because when young people are given the tools, support, and belief to dream bigger, entire communities benefit.

To partner, sponsor, or support Dreams Training Facility, connect with Tawon Green and join the movement to help youth everywhere Keep Dreaming.
