Divided by two major highways, the North Park and City Heights communities face significant transportation challenges, particularly in accessing jobs, essential services, and social connections. Mid-City GO aims to eliminate these barriers by offering eco-friendly, convenient, and cost-free mobility solutions.

Flexible, On-Demand Rides at No Cost
Unlike traditional transit services with fixed routes and schedules, Mid-City GO operates as an on-demand, ride-share shuttle that can be requested anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Riders can book a seat for themselves and up to three additional passengers.
The shuttle service covers a designated service area in North Park and City Heights, ensuring access to key locations such as:

✅ Grocery stores, including Smart & Final Extra, Vons, and Murphy’s Market

How to Request a Ride
Booking a Mid-City GO ride is simple and seamless:

2️⃣ Create an account and follow the registration steps.
3️⃣ Enter your pick-up and drop-off locations and tap “Book this ride.”
4️⃣ Follow the app instructions to meet your driver at the designated location.

The Mid-City GO fleet consists of three vehicles, including:

The service also accommodates riders with disabilities. Users requiring a wheelchair-accessible vehicle can enable the “Wheelchair Accessibility” option in the Via San Diego app, unlocking door-to-door service for added convenience. Service animals are welcome in all vehicles.
Fast & Reliable: What to Expect
⏳ Wait Times: The average wait time is expected to be between 10 to 15 minutes, depending on demand. If the estimated wait time exceeds 30 minutes, the app may suggest trying again later.
👥 Capacity: Each vehicle accommodates up to four passengers (or three if a rider requires a wheelchair-accessible van).
📆 Availability: Rides are available Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
